1. TAJ MAHAL, INDIA



Taj Mahal is located on the Yamuna River in a vast Mughal garden that encompasses nearly 17 hectares in the Agra District in Uttar Pradesh. Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and is one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage. This heritage is built with immense mausoleum of white marble in Agra between 1632 and 1648 while the mosque, the guest house and the main gateway on the south, the outer courtyard and its cloisters were added subsequently and complete in year 1653. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shan Jahan in memory of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
